I don't write a lot of online reviews, but Bill and the whole crew were so helpful in a difficult situation that the least I can do is leave a glowing review :-) I had taken my car to another shop for a brake job, and the next day while my wife was driving, the brakes failed completely. The pedal went to the floor, and she came very close to a serious accident. Taking the car to Naper Auto Works, they immediately diagnosed the problem (though that wasn't the hard part - the caliper wasn't attached to the bracket at all, and there was brake fluid everywhere!) and gave me a thorough rundown of everything they would do to fix the immediate issue, and make sure the car was safe overall. The thing that impressed me most, though, was how helpful they were in dealing with what could have been a sticky situation with the other mechanic. Bill actually called him directly and arranged to get paid for the work he did out of what I had already paid the other guy, so the only out-of-pocket cost for me was a small fix for an unrelated issue that I was more than happy to pay for. He was certainly under no obligation to do that, but he was committed to making this difficult situation as painless as possible for me and my wife, and he went above and beyond to do it. Anyway, in case you can't tell, I've found my new shop for the foreseeable future - thank you Naper Auto Works!
