I can't say enough good things about Naper Auto Repair. I had been experiencing what seemed to me a serious problem with my 2006 Mountaineer, with the engine warning light coming on and the sensation as if there were a transmission problem; however, the symptoms were not presenting themselves constantly. Often, after turning off the vehicle then restarting it, the symptoms were gone and the warning lights were off. The mechanics at Naper Auto Repair worked dilligently to replicate the problem as I descried it, but could not make it happen. Finally, Jim Hess the owner got into the mix. Jim drove the car home so that he could try to make the care behave the way it had when I was driving it. He was successfull. They isolated the problem, and the car is running like new. How often does the owner of any business get his/her hands dirty the way that Jim does. Naper Auto Repair is a great team. I'll always turn to them for my auto repairs, and I highly recommend them.

I would like to Thank your team for helping my sister in-law out. I am in Technician in Colorado and she is out there for school. Her check engine light came on in her 2004 Ford Escape and she said the car shakes badly at idle. I asked if the light was flashing. Yes, should I take it to the closest shop, she said. No, take it to the best reviewed shop in the area. I go on to tell her it is most likely a bad coil or worn spark plugs. I talked to her last night and she said that the coil was replaced and the car runs great again. So I applaud your team for not taking advantage of a hard working college girl. 👍

Repairs were made in a logical sequence so that I could make decisions as to whether or not they should proceed with further repairs (my car was old and had a lot of issues). Their representative, John, kept me up to date on the progress each step of the way. For expertise, professionalism, and cost, they deserve the highest marks.
