They had every opportunity to make a big project over a simple problem, but instead took the time to carefully assess the car's problem and only charge us for the necessary work. The car wouldn't start, so we had the auto club jump it and brought it in to have the battery checked. It took a while, but they worked me in while I waited and put a charger on the battery to find out there was a bad cell. Replaced the battery.

I was having difficulty occasionally starting the car. It was seemingly unrelated to extreme cold. Initial diagnostics showed no problem with the battery or starter. Naper Auto Works was able to locate the problem in the surprising area of ignition and shifting. Apparently my shifter was not always locking into the Park position but still allowing the keys to be removed from ignition. On the occasions when this happened, it was causing a drain on the battery. The mechanics were able to recharge the battery and assured me there is no danger of the vehicle moving while in Park. I just need to be more conscious of making sure the shifter is fully in Park when I remove the keys. Thank you for taking care of my car and giving me a peace of mind.

We trust Naper Auto Works competent vehicle repairs and service. The staff always goes the extra mile. A couple of years ago, the check engine light came on right before an emissions check. Not only did they check the problem, but they took the car to the inspection station for us. During the last service, I dropped off the car before leaving on a week long trip to China. Naper Auto Works brought the car back to our house so that my wife didn't have to deal with it.

I was a walk-in customer with a question about a repair that was recommended by the local dealership of my car’s brand. The repair seemed something was necessary (something that needs to be replaced eventually). I just wanted a second opinion and possibly a lower cost. I got the issue disagnosed right on the spot (the replacement was necessary). After checking the availability of the parts, I was able to leave the car there, have them drive me home. By the late afternoon the car was repaired, and it cost 25% less than what the dealer quoted me. I know I’ll be coming back here again.
